For many stay at home moms, arts and crafts are a great hobby – whether they are being made as a business, or just to pass time while having fun. The only problem is, when you are taking part in making these arts and crafts, your child will be left unattended, and eventually bored. So, what is the solution? The only solution is to get your child involved, in what we call Toddler Crafts.

One of the best ways to have your kid involved in projects is through using items you find around the house – one of these being Popsicle sticks. Have your child (or children) use the popsicle sticks and decorate them with markers and stickers. One important note; be sure to buy the washable markers. If not, you could find yourself with a mess you will never be able to clean. Do not buy very expensive markers, because toddlers will usually not put the lids of the markers back on when taking part in toddler crafts. Thus, it is best to buy markers in bulk. Make a race exception to the “quality over quantity”, and go for “quantity over quality”.

The next step is to browse the internet, magazines, or even old books, and find some pictures. You can even use pictures of your family, or your child. You will now help your toddler us the popsicle sticks to create a frame for the selected picture. You will then help them attach a string, so the picture can be displayed somewhere around the house.

Surely, the toddler craft above will not keep your child occupied forever. Luckily, there is another great toddler activity – macaroni necklaces. You will need to do some of the steps before hand, but they are relatively easily. Fill up a jar with macaroni pieces, and put food coloring in the jar. Shake the jar until the macaroni pieces are colorful. Give the macaroni a good amount of time to dry.

Provide your child with a shoe string, yarn, or any other type of string. Put tape on one end of the string so the macaroni does not continually fall off. Do a few examples of how to put the macaroni on the string, and then supervise your toddler as s/he does it. Their face will glow with happiness after completing this toddler craft. Enjoy and happy craft making with your toddlers for now!

Every child is born as an individual that is curious, anxious to learn, in such a large world. The toddler stage of a human being is the best time to learn and expand their mental capacity to their utmost ability. Toddlers learn through various occurrences – touching, hearing, falling, and many more.

There are hundreds of fun activities for toddlers, allowing your toddler to grow mentally, while having fun. It is important for your toddler to take part in fun activities, in order to grow in many ways.

A great activity for your toddler is allowing them to play with household objects. The objects must present no hazards, so be sure they are safe when in your toddlers control. Have your toddler hold and feel the object, and tell you what it is. This is a great way for your toddler to burn some mental energy, through learning the names of new objects.

Visit the local Wal-Mart, or other department store, and buy a whole bunch of bean bags. Toddlers love to toss around bean bags. Wash some old socks, and allow your toddler to use the socks as a sac for the bean bags. Simply tossing these bean bags around can help your toddler burn a lot of energy, and have a much better sleep at night. In turn, you will also have a better sleep, as you will not have to awake to the crying sounds of your toddler. Bean bags are one of the many fun activities for toddlers.

Take your toddler to the local museum. Once again, human’s best learn at the toddler stage of their life. Toddlers will experience many new things at the museum, expanding their mental capacity. Once again, simply walking around the museum, will allow your toddler to burn off a lot of their energy, and get a better nights sleep that night.

Connecting the dots has been one of the most popular fun activities for toddlers through the years. You can find a lot of connect the dot templates online. Print them out, put them in front of your toddler with a crayon, and explain to them the basic concept. They will probably not connect all the dots perfectly, but it is a process that will teach them how too eventually.

Hide and Seek is one of the most popular and fun activities for toddlers for many years. Toddlers get an amazing thrill from playing hide and seek. Switch it up with your toddler – you hide, and they have to find you, and then they hide, and you have to find them. This way, your toddler will learn both aspects of the game. When you are hiding, do not make it impossible for your toddler to find you. Remember, the purpose is for them to have fun and learn. Making yourself impossible to find could scare and upset them.

Crafts for toddlers can be very fun, and rewarding, in a sense that they are working with their hands, and becoming more intelligent. There are many crafts for toddlers, and each can be extremely fun. Now, one must keep in mind that not any craft for toddlers will keep them occupied for a long time. Toddlers have a short attention spans, thus it is important the activity is designed to keep them occupied.

Painting using water is a great craft for toddlers. Children love water for some reason – put a paintbrush and some paper in front of them, and you will not hear a word out of them for a long time. Keep in mind though that this can be a very messy activity. Be sure you do not let them do this right next to your brand new, thousand dollar couches.

Finger painting is also a great craft for toddlers. This obviously requires a fair amount of moving, making this activity great for toddlers. It is a great way for them to burn off some of that energy, and in turn have a good night sleep. Toddlers will be able to touch water, and create art work all with their hands. The paper needed for finger painting can be quite pricy, so your best bet is to buy some regular paper from the grocery store. When your toddler is taking part in this craft, be sure to put layers of newspaper underneath their paper, so the paint does not run through.

Cutting & Pasting is another great craft for toddlers. Obviously, putting scissors in the hands of toddlers is not safe. Nonetheless, this can be a great craft for toddlers. You should cut out the pictures in advance, either from the magazine, or from printed paper. Provide your toddler with a glue stick and some blank paper. With some glue and pictures, the sky is the limit for your toddler. Once they grow a bit older, you can provide them with some safety scissors so they can even do the cutting of pictures themselves.

There are so many crafts available for toddlers, and above are just some of the best. Toddlers need to be kept occupied, and what can be better than some simple, inexpensive crafts? Visit the local supply depot, and buy some arts and crafts material for your toddler. You will not need to spend more than $20 for items that will last your toddler a good amount of time.

Computer games for toddlers are great for a number of reasons. Firstly, they help keep your toddler occupied. At the same, they are expanding your toddlers intelligence. And lastly computer games for toddlers allow your toddler to have fun and be happy.

When choosing computer games for toddlers, you must firstly look at the rating. Obviously, you only want to get computer games that are rated G (for General). Anything above this will contain content than is NOT appropriate for a toddler. The rating of the game is usually shown in a small box on the front of the computer game box. If not, check the back.

Even though the majority of computer games these days seem to be filled with things that only teenagers enjoy (such as violence), you do not need to lose hope as a parent. There are plenty of appropriate computer games for toddlers. There are certain computer game companies that specifically design computer games for toddlers, keeping in mind their level of maturity, and what they find interesting. Most of these companies have special stores that sell their games, which would be a great place for you to visit. Nonetheless, if you are on a tight budget, you can buy almost any computer game online, either through Ebay, Craigslist, and so on.

When choosing computer games, it is important to remember what it is your goal is. Even though you want your toddler to have fun, you want them to learn at the same time. Try to pick games that are very visual. Toddlers cannot read yet, and the only way they can learn is through pictures. While they are playing the game, you can join along and help them learn new words. For example, if they are playing a game, and the image of a tree is shown, you can say “tree”. Over time, your toddler will pick up that this images he is seeing is a tree, and learn the word. Simply putting a dictionary and a picture in front of your toddler is not going to help them.

As you can see, there are several advantages of computer games for toddlers. They are inexpensive, and widely available, and at the same time, do a lot for your toddler mentally. Over time, your toddler will learn lots of new words as a result of playing computer games.

There are literally hundreds of simple, inexpensive available activities for toddlers. Many studies have shown that the more occupied a toddler is kept, the better they will behave. There is nothing worse than a toddler crying constantly, and activities are meant to keep them busy and happy.

Firstly, picture books are a great activity for toddlers. You can find very cheap picture books online, and possibly even in bulk. Since your toddler can obviously not read yet, there is nothing more amusing to them than pictures. Try to buy some of the classics, as these have proven to be great books with toddlers in the past. Put these books in front them, and watch as they look amazed by the colors and such.

The park – right up there as one of the best activities for toddlers. Toddlers can have a lot of energy, and it is important for them to burn it off so they can get good nights sleep. Take them to the park, but be sure to supervise them at all times. At the park, they will see other children, and also have a chance to interact with them. You can even put them on the small swings and push them. Once again though, never let your toddler out of your sight. Given you take the proper precautions, the park is one of the greatest activities for toddlers.

Some may disagree with this, but it has been proven to keep toddlers occupied for hours. If you have an old gaming console, set it up with an old TV. Give the game controller to your toddler, and sit back. For some reason, even though toddlers do not know what is going on, they find the games extremely amusing, and will sit for hours “pretending to play”. Another one of the great activities available for toddlers – allowing them to keep occupied, and burn off some energy with those small hands of theirs at the same time.

As you can see, there are many great activities for toddlers, and most are quite inexpensive, while some are even priceless. It is important to keep your toddler busy with activities, or else they will grow bored, and in turn not be able to sleep easily at night. On the other hand, keeping your toddler busy with activities will allow them to sleep easily and peacefully at night, giving you, the parents, a better night’s sleep.
